New Year’s Resolutions are a great way to identify a goal that will better your life. They come in many forms, ranging from something as simple as reading a book to as extreme as finishing an ultra marathon. At Shoal Creek Smile Studio we often see a popular resolution in dentistry: New Year, New Smile. But how do you achieve this goal? Where do you start?

All smiles are different! What might make one person’s teeth beautiful might not work for somebody else. With constant developments in dental and orthodontic technology, there is a solution for everyone to make a smile beautiful!

Here are some things Shoal Creek Smile Studio can do to help you achieve your New Year’s Resolution for an even more beautiful smile!

Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry is an extremely popular answer to the New Year, New Smile Resolution. There is a cosmetic solution to making every smile reach its full potential!

Cosmetic dentistry covers everything from dentures, implants, and crowns, to bridges, fillings, and partial dentures—the list goes on and on. There are so many cosmetic dental treatments we offer; there’s no way we can go into detail about them here! However, we wanted to highlight a very popular cosmetic treatment here that is an excellent solution to the New Year, New Smile Resolution; that’s the veneer.

Whitening

Whitening is a form of cosmetic dentistry, however, we wanted to highlight it in its own category because it is such a great solution to making smiles look amazing!

If you think your smile looks slightly yellow, regardless of how much whitening toothpaste you use, your teeth could be stained. Stained teeth are one of the most common cosmetic cases we see! Everyone loves food and drinks; however, some can discolor the surface of your teeth with regular exposure. For example, some popular food items that will stain your smile are buffalo sauce, marinara, coffee, dark teas, and red wine. Whitening treatment is an easy fix to this problem, so you don’t have to avoid the foods or drinks you love!

Types of whitening

There are many levels of teeth whitening available, from over-the-counter alternatives to take-home kits and in-office treatments. We recommend the latter, as whitening strips and trays from the drug store usually don’t last very long and require constant re-application, depending on your diet and lifestyle.

Take-Home Kits: Take-home kits provided by dental professionals are an affordable and reliable way to get rid of stains on your teeth. The results won’t last quite as long as in-office whitening treatments; however, they will do the job just fine and have your smile looking beautiful after a few installments!

In-Office Whitening: In-office treatments are the best and most reliable way to whiten your teeth. The results of these visits can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on your diet, lifestyle, and oral health habits.

Invisalign® treatment

Invisalign is an affordable, convenient, and easy way to straighten most smiles! This flexible alternative to braces is extremely popular with patients of all ages due to its removability and lack of brackets and wires. Every Invisalign® tray our office creates is 100% unique to that patient and explicitly designed for their smile.

The Invisalign® straightening system is simple. All you have to do is wear your treatment as prescribed by us and come and pick up your next set of trays when our team notifies you. That’s it! Wear your treatment, come in for brief check-ups every few months, and you’ll have the smile you’ve always wanted before you know it!
